How much past can fit into an evening? Into an hour? Into a minute? And how much future? Just a minute? An hour? An evening?
Dancer Andrea Ladányi is going to share the stage of the National Dance Theatre with six outstanding male dancers at her author’s night entitled Divided Time.
From six different generations, the seventies, sixties, fifties, forties, thirties and twenties, she has chosen partners within and beyond borders, seas, continents who are key players in the Kossuth Prize-winning artist’s career to date.
She ponders with them in the language of movement, theatre and art that the time they spent — together and separately — was not lost, only transformed. That what we now see as the future will be the present within short, and that we also shape this present of the future. Now.
And that art, creativity and creation will live on even when we are long gone. That nothing can strangle it – it is eternal from the beginning. It always existed, exists and will exist – not as future and past, but as present.
