Provocative Giraffe presents a curated collection of writers/performers sharing their comedic works
Michael Wertenberg will be sharing excerpts and signing copies of The Orthography of Madness and Misgivings and Stories to Tell Your Children (assuming you are a very bad parent).
At the hip, cozy & aesthetic Főfoto, good drinks and friendly English-speaking staff
Michael Wertenberg is a writer of horror, literary fiction, and comedy. Often strange or surreal, readers have described his work as ‘disturbing and delightful’ while audiences of his one-man shows in Warsaw and Budapest have described them as ‘adventurous’.
Rupert Slade, a performance poet in London's coffee shops and folk clubs in the '80s, called "a true poetic genius" by Time Out magazine, currently performs and hosts comedy nights in Budapest.
Russell Ridgeway is a storyteller, performer, and writer of literary fiction in both short stories and plays. Readers have called his work “cutting quixotic nostalgia”.
Esther Holbrook has lent her talents to a variety of mediums: voiceover work, web shorts, interactive video games, and comedy theatre. Versatile and daring, her work has been described as “unexpected”.
