Calling all actors and actresses!
Cipher Theatre Co. is looking for performers for our many projects!
“What projects?” you may ask.
Well, we are planning staged readings of a variety of works – classic and experimental, antique and contemporary, original pieces in English and Hungarian works in translation.

If you would like to get on stage, please attend our casting on Saturday, 26 March, starting at 6 p.m. at 1075 BP, Király utca 9 (near Deák Ferenc tér). Ring Buzzer No. 1 (marked DOVER) from the street. Enter the glass doors to the right of the entrance, go up the stairs one flight and enter the main building. You will need to fill in a casting registration sheet handed to you there in the lobby.

Please prepare a short speech, monologue, or poem (approx. 1 minute of length) of your choosing, something to give us a sense of your stage presence and range. There is no need to memorize the text unless you wish to do so. We will also have texts for cold reading.

In Summer 2022, we plan to stage the brand-new work Life Positive by Sári O. Horváth, a talented young playwright with a stunningly contemporary take on relationships and modern existence in Budapest. See below for details about characters.
