What do you do when the world is falling apart? How does it affect people and the way they act? These questions are explored through the chance encounter of three strangers on the train platform.

Written by Mark Phelan, a dearly departed member of the expat community, The Platform is a funny, yet astute play about human behaviour.

Cipher Theatre Company will be putting on a dramatic reading of The Platform on 19 & 20 March 2023.

The Cipher Theatre Company is dedicated to bringing staged readings of English-language original works to the Budapest community, from the classic to the contemporary, including Hungarian pieces in English translation.

Cipher also collaborates with local actors and writers on theatre projects and invites patrons, performing artists, authors, and audience members to come join us!
