- Festival Theatre Budapest
The duo of singer and guitarist Soma Nóvé, well-known in Hungary from the bands Middlemist Red and Mordái, and Dániel Riederauer, an electronics and bass guitar player, first performed as Samurai Drive in 2019.
Their eponymous debut album, released in 2020, paid tribute to the atmosphere of midnight cinemas in an encounter between electronic music, blues, new wave sounds and a film noir aesthetic.
After the equally brilliant 2021 Hunt EP, they returned at the end of 2023 with a song influenced by Isaac Hayes and Morphine.
At Müpa Budapest, they will perform with an instrumental set-up that until now had only existed in the heads of the song writing pair.
