Children’s Day in the Radisson SAS Béke Hotel On 3 October
"On 3rd October the charity action month of Radisson came to an end with a fantastic event: a children’s day was organized with the invitation of disadvantaged children.

The musician Péter Huzella amused the kids with songs and guitar, a one-man marionette theater involved them into traditional Hungarian folk-tales anddouble bass players made them dance and sing. Kids from the Institute of Blind and the Single Parents’ Social and Rehabilitation Home came to the Hotel and forgot about their everyday problems for a few hours.

Responsible Business is a project of Radisson since 2001 and is acting in response to increase demands from guests, corporate clients, employees and owners.

Within the Responsible Business program, we are dedicated to three main areas of responsibility. First, taking responsibility for the health and safety of employees and customers. Second, respecting social and ethical issues in the company, as well as in the community. Third, reducing our negative impact on the environment.

The Responsible Business action month was a full success! Besides the yearly activities, the Hotel focused this time on social and ethical issues. A small foundation became the target of charity for this year: the ‘In Hope of Recovery’ Foundation supports families in need where the child’s operation is vital.

They also raise money for the reconstruction works of the blind children’s home section. This is what the Hotel would like to support with the help of employee’s work and guests donations.

Few thousand Hungarian Forints were already donated by employees and guests. Until the end of 2009 we hope to triple the amount!
