- 9 Dec 2010 1:00 AM
"This is the travelling, digitised version of the Paris Cité de la Musique and the Bibliothèque Nationale de France’s exhibition Chopin in Paris – a composer’s workshop. The interactive exhibition enables us to imagine the circumstances that greeted Chopin when he arrived in the intellectual capital of the era, Paris. Documents illuminate Chopin’s daily routine and his affection for the piano and afford us a glimpse into his creative processes.
The venues for this travelling exhibition so far have been Indonesia (Jakarta), Greece (Athens), Bulgaria (Sofia), Estonia (Tallin), Phillippines (Mataki), Tunisia (Tunis), Montenegro (Podgorica), South Korea (Seoul), Iraq (Baghdad and Erbil), Latvia (Riga).
The exhibition has been compiled by Jean-Jacques Eigeldinger, professor of Genoa University, Thierry Maniguet, curator of the Paris Musée de la Musique and Cécile Reynaud, curator of the Paris Bibliothèque Nationale de France."
On display until 19 December
