"This collection of short stories offers a personal view of the world of disparate emotions inspired by human relationships. Robert Plutchik’s psycho evolutionary theory of emotion identified eight primary emotions – anger, fear, sadness, disgust, surprise, anticipation, trust and joy which he argued trigger survival behaviour.
The stories contained in this book are an attempt by the author to use plausible fiction to understand the origin of such primary emotions.
Each story explores a different part of the emotional landscape of relationships in the hope of finding something that will limit the psychological carnage caused by consequential survival behaviour. Along the way we encounter desire, arrogance, uncertainty, pain, bitterness, resignation and hope - all in the pursuit of love as we imagine it to be.
