Budapest Strengthens Penalties For Misdemeanours Like Placing Waste In Wrong Container
Budapest city council expanded the list of actions to be deemed misdemeanours and raised the fines to as much as Ft 150,000. Fines may now be issued if tree branches are obstructive, for failure to clean shop windows, for failure to clear the pavement outside a house, for placing posters on unauthorised places, for improper use of public space, for improper use of Heroes Square, for placing waste in the wrong container, for improper use of green spaces, and for organising illegal running competitions.
