Hungarian Gov’t To Ease Wage Burden For Young New Hires

On another issue, he said funding of the government’s wage compensation scheme in the public and private sectors will be cut back and the number of those eligible will be reduced. Czomba emphasised that the programme will not be abandoned.
The ministry is looking at ways to link wage compensation with the job protection plan, in order to reduce bureaucracy.
Czomba affirmed that the job protection plan targets one million employees, by either creating or safeguarding jobs.
Talks on the minimum wage will commence with employees and unions from the middle of October, Czomba said.
