Hungary's Fidesz Caucus Leader Rogán Attacks Bajnai
Former prime minister Gordon Bajnai is “clearly a man of the past” whose dispute is not with the governing parties but with ordinary people who voted against his style of governing in 2010, Fidesz caucus leader Antal Rogán told reporters on Monday.

Speaking after Patriotism and Progress outlined its economic ideas, Rogán asserted that Bajnai and his predecessor Ferenc Gyurcsány share responsibility for “destroying the economy” in 2002-10.

Bajnai set a record as the economy shrank by 7% in 2009 and the state debt reached a peak during his term as prime minister, Rogán continued. He said the Patriotism and Progress Foundation’s platform specifies a reduction of the minimum wage to 30% of the average wage. The movement denies that it wants to reduce the net minimum wage.
