The program, over 5 days, included Péter Eszterházy, one of the most widely-known contemporary Hungarian writers, Nicole Krauss, author of Great House, The History of Love and Man Walks into a Room, Spanish philosopher Fernando Savater, the Anglo/Hungarian poet and translator George Szirtes, Dutch novelist Jaap Scholten, the great French architect Odile Decq, Marcus du Sautoy, Professor of Mathematics at Oxford University, Germaine Greer bringing fresh views on Shakespeare and the legendary American journalist and Watergate hero Carl Bernstein.

This was a band of freethinking and free speaking individuals. There are no particular objectives or agendas to meet, but what it does, is brings such diverse people together, helping to break down prejudices and showing many different perspectives to life.

The festival gives the poets, mathematicians, philosophers, artists and writers –which Hungary has an abundance of - plenty to feast on, for the coming months…
