Jobless Rate Drops Below 10% In Hungary

The unemployment rate fell to 9.8% in the August-October period, from 10.5% one year earlier, the Central Statistics Office reports. The number unemployed fell to 433,700 from 452,000 in the same period and was 2,500 lower than in July-September.
The number of employed rose 57,000 year-on-year to 3.92 million, the highest figure in 21 years, said employment state secretary Sándor Czomba.
