Television advertising revenue in Hungary fell by 6% to 45.6 billion forints last year, according to a survey commissioned by the Hungarian Association of Electronic Programme Providers (MEME).
The survey, conducted by consultancy Ernst and Young, covered 56 television broadcasters. MEME chairman Krisztián Kovács said the data suggest the decline in revenue from TV advertising slowed last year, and could come to a halt this year.
Terrestrial broadcasts accounted for 69% of ad revenue last year. Cable TV made up the rest.
