Hungary's Socialists Demand Info On Welsz
Socialist Party spokeswoman Bernadett Budai yesterday urged forensic authorities to release information about the cause of death of businessman Tamás Welsz as she suggested that he may have provided Guinea-Bissau passports to Fidesz politicians.

Budai said the authorities “have been quiet for 11 days” since Welsz died, and that Fidesz has also been silent about the circumstances of his death.

The results of the inquest into his death ought to have been made public a long time ago, she added, to clarify why and how the key witness of a complicated affair died in a Hungarian police car, whether he had secret service ties, “and for which right-wing politicians he obtained passports”.
