Hungary’s Forint Strongest In Past Three Months

Unfazed by deteriorating budget and foreign trade balances, the Hungarian currency continued up on a wave of yield hunt as new hopes for some ECB easing in June knocked sovereign yields down all over the euro area.
The forint traded at 218.65 to the dollar, up from 219.11 late Wednesday. On Thursday, it moved between 217.30, a more than four-month high, and 219.22.
It was quoted at 248.99 to the Swiss franc, up from 245.95 late Wednesday. Its range on Thursday was 248.83, a more than three-month high, to 250.18.
