Survey: Vast Majority Of Hungarians Believe Rejecting Migrants Not Racism
A total of 84% of Hungarian adults believe that rejecting migrants is not racism, a representative survey made on commission by new online news portal 888.hu showed. Only 13% said that rejecting migrants is racism, 888.hu reported citing the results of the national survey carried out on Sept. 10-15. Some 73% of left-wing voters do not consider rejecting migrants racism, and 81% of centrist voters and 91% of rightwing voters share this view.

According to the survey, in addition to rejecting illegal migrants, 71% of Hungarians are also against taking in refugees from Syria and Iraq, including 55% of left-wing voters, 67% of centrist voters and 87% of right-wing voters, 888.hu reported.
