Hungary’s Cancer Deaths At European Average

In Hungary 26% of deaths were caused by cancer in 2013, which is exactly the European average, according to data published by Eurostat on Wednesday, World Cancer Day. Lung cancer accounted for 26% of cancer deaths in Hungary, which is the highest rate in the European Union.
Rectal cancer made up 16% of cancer deaths which is also the highest in Europe.
At the same time the rate of prostate cancer deaths within fatal cancer diseases was at the lowest in Europe, at 4%, tied with the Netherlands and Romania.
