Budapest Road Transport Hub Opens
Mayor István Tarlós opened a two-level road hub on Budaörsi út, a project linked to the fourth metro line investment. Tarlós said the project began in 2014 and took 85 weeks.

The hub helps to channel cars arriving in Budapest from the southwest towards the Park & Ride (P&R) car park at Kelenföld train station, to better access the fourth metro line.

An estimated 120,000 car drivers could benefit from the investment every day, Tarlós remarked.

The number of P&R parking spaces is gradually expanding, with 1,000 at present at the Kelenföld terminus of the fourth metro line, rising to 1,500 by the end of the year.

The project has cost a net sum of Ft 7.2 billion.
