Vietnamese Men Attack Parking Inspectors
Vietnamese men injured parking inspectors during a scuffle on Golgota tér in the Eighth District on Sunday afternoon, Budapest police announced yesterday.

Police said the incident happened when the inspectors stopped a truck in the square as it was going the wrong way along a one-way street.

The Vietnamese driver ran off but soon returned with his boss. When they saw that the inspectors had fitted a wheel lock on the car, they began a scuffle.

A third person struck an inspector with a metal pipe before throwing the pipe on the ground and running away. His associate picked the pipe up and struck an inspector’s hand, causing light injuries.

Arriving police detained one Vietnamese man and questioned him as a suspect. His associate is still being sought by police.
