Budapest Mayor Tarlós Suspects Criminal Mischief On M3
The wooden cube, which prevented the doors of the M3 metro carriage from closing, resulting in the carriage being removed from traffic, appears as if it was designed to fit the door gap, Budapest mayor István Tarlós said at a press conference on Thursday. He presented the cube, encased in a plastic bag, to journalists.

According to Tarlós the cube must have been inserted into the gap intentionally.

The Budapest transport company BKV suspects that the obstruction was intentional and has reported it to the police, Tarlós underlined.

Six refurbished metro cars are already functional and the seventh arrived on July 26. It will enter into service within days, he said.
