Video: Downtown Rip-Off Bar Raided

Fifth District police and other law enforcement agents raided a downtown nightclub last Thursday night after they were tipped off that staff had grossly overcharged customers on numerous occasions. In one instance, a guest was made to pay more than Ft 1 million instead of the real price of Ft 52,360. In another, staff drugged a guest, who awoke to find that his mobile phone and wallet had been taken.
Police detained 15 Poles and six Hungarians at the club on Váci utca and questioned them as suspects at the local police station.
Before the raid detectives established that four foreigners had been cheated out of more than Ft 2.5 million during October 15-19.
