Traffic Restrictions From 26-29 November 2017 Due To A Delegation
Restrictions by the police are expected in the city centre between Sunday, 26 November and Wednesday, 29 November 2017 to support the mobility of foreign delegations: the Chain Bridge, Széchenyi István tér, Apáczai Csere János utca and its area as well as the lower embankment in Pest between Jászai Mari tér and Március 15. tér will be closed to traffic.

In addition, further major roads will be closed during the stay of the delegation, therefore BKK advises travellers not to use their private cars, but to take the metro instead.

During the departure of the delegation at around 11:00-12:00 in the morning on Wednesday, restrictions will apply on roads leading to Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, that is why airline passengers are well advised to leave for the airport earlier than planned.

Restrictions also apply to public transport services in the affected area, thus metro line M1 service will be suspended temporarily, while the service of several bus and tram lines will be modified.

Please check the BKK Info webpage and mobile app for regular travel updates.
