The National Weather Service reported that a record 29.3C was gauged in Újpest, Budapest’s Fourth District.

Dawn and daytime heat records were broken in Hungary on Thursday, according to weather service HungaroMet.
The national dawn heat record was broken on Monday morning, when temperature reached 12.6 degrees Celsius in Koronco, in north-west Hungary, the national weather service HungaroMet said.
The national heat record was broken three days running on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, the national weather service HungaroMet said.
The Lagymanyos weather station measured 18.8 degrees Celsius at dawn on Friday, a new Budapest heat record for this day, the HungaroMet weather service said.
