Heat Records Broken in Hungary

In Pecs Arpadteto the air cooled to only 24.9 C at dawn, while that last dawn record on this day was in 1967, when in Pannonhalma the mercury dropped to only 23.5 C, the meteorologist said on Friday.
During the day in Kubekhaza, the temperature shot up to 39.7 C, as against the previous record of 36.1 C recorded in 1938 in Csongrad.
In Budapest, 24.5 C was measured at Janos Hill at dawn, as against 23.1 C notched up in 2006, while in Ujpest 39.5 C was witnessed during the day, with the previous record being 35.9 C in 2016.
