Budapest Bank Unveils Contactless Payments
Budapest Bank is offering contact-less mobile phone payment solutions to its customers from Monday, the state-owned bank has announced.

Clients must have smartphones and a Mastercard or Maestro card. Currently the app is only available for Android systems.

Currently only Gránit Bank, OTP Bank, MKB and K&H Bank offer contact-less smartphone payment solutions in Hungary.

    K+H Bank, the Hungarian unit of Belgian's KBC, had a first-quarter loss of HUF 19bn as it booked the full amount it must pay for the year on the bank levy and windfall profit tax, the lender said on Monday.
