Evacuation Exercise Held At Liszt Ferenc Airport
An evacuation exercise was held in Budapest’s international Liszt Ferenc Airport on Monday, police said on its website.

A total of 1,200 volunteers participated in the exercise which was directly funded by the European Union, the police communications service said.

Extraordinary events were simulated to practice operations including evacuation, emergency relief, providing medical services and return to regular operation.

An advance alarm and threat assessment system is being developed to measure and evaluate the protection level of “critical infrastructures” in real time, the statement said.
