Consecration Of The New Bread, Matthias Church, 20 August

The Festival of Folk Arts hosts the revival of a centuries-old tradition, greeting the holiday of St. Stephen with a decorative, harvest-wreathed parade of masters and dancers and with a solemn blessing of bread.
The blessing of bread will take place at 15:00 on 20 August at the Matthias Church (Mátyás templom).
The parade of dancers, musicians and masters dressed in folk costumes starts 30 minutes earlier, at 14:30 on St. George Square (Szent György tér) by the Buda Castle.
