Producer Price Index Up 8.4% Yr/Yr In July
Hungary's industrial prices rose by 8.4% in July from the same month a year earlier, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said.

Prices for domestic sales were up 8.5% while export prices rose by 8.4%. In a month-on-month comparison, industrial producer prices were up 0.2% as domestic prices edged up 0.1% and export prices by 0.2%.

Year-on-year, factory gate prices in the manufacturing sector rose by 8.1% in July. Prices of transport equipment were up 10%, and prices of computer, electronic and optical products were up 4.1%. Food, beverages and tobacco prices were up 2.5%.

Prices in the gas, electricity and steam supply segment rose by 9.8%. In a month-on-month comparison, producer prices in the manufacturing sector were up 0.4%.

Prices of transport equipment rose by 0.6%, and prices of computer, electronic and optical products went up by 0.5%.

Prices in the food, beverages and tobacco segment rose by 0.3%.

Prices of gas, electricity and steam supply were down 0.8%. In January-July 2018, industrial producer prices rose by 4.9% yearon-year as domestic prices climbed 5% and export prices were up by 4.9%.
