Christmas Surprise: Flydubai Comes To Budapest
Bookings are open, as of 18 December, for the new Budapest flight of discount carrier flydubai, scheduled to be operated by the airline registered in the United Arab Emirates from June next year.

Although flydubai does not directly belong to the Emirates group, via the so-called code share system passengers from Hungary transferring in Dubai may book seats on Emirates flights, and their hold baggage will be automatically transferred too.

Flydubai is to operate the Budapest flight with the most modern Boeing 737-8MAX planes in its fleet of sixty aircraft. The planned schedule is conveniently adjusted to the daily flight of Emirates, as flydubai will depart from Dubai late in the afternoon (at 17:35) to arrive in Budapest at 21:30.

The aircraft is to stay here for two hours, and will depart at 23:30, to arrive at Dubai International (DXB) five and a half hours later, at 7:05 local time.

On the latest aircraft of flydubai, 10 business seats and 156 economy seats are offered, and the new flight will be operated between the Hungarian capital and the biggest airport of the United Arab Emirates with a daily frequency.

Thanks to the arrival in the morning, passengers will comfortably catch Emirates flights departing from Dubai to Australia, Thailand, Japan, and India. flydubai also offers many transfer possibilities via its own network, as they fly to 95 destinations from Dubai, including quite a number of popular ocean-side resorts and exotic destinations in India, Pakistan, and Africa.

“It is a great pleasure for us to welcome yet another airline to Budapest. What’s more, with flydubai a dynamically developing quality airline is added to our offer which can satisfy passengers’ needs quite flexibly,” said Kam Jandu, chief commercial officer of Budapest Airport.

He added, “I’m positive that flydubai’s flights will become hugely popular in Hungary, and tourists as well as business travelers will make good use of the opportunities served by the 95 destinations offered by the airline.”

The new flight to Budapest was announced together with the launch of the Naples route of flydubai.

Commenting on the launch, Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer of flydubai, said: “We are delighted to be launching flights to Budapest and Naples. These destinations provide our passengers with more choice on our network while reaffirming our commitment to the vision set by us to create free flows of tourism and strengthen direct airlinks with the UAE.”
