Hungary’s new PM says he will not move into the official prime ministerial residence, and will instead remain in his current Budapest home, explaining his decision is connected to his children.
The ministers of health, justice, education and child welfare, and finance will each hold veto power in government decision-making, Prime Minister Peter Magyar announced in parliament on Tuesday.
"I will not rule Hungary; I will serve my country," Prime Minister Peter Magyar declared after his election at the inaugural session of parliament on Saturday.
"On 12 April, we suffered an earthquake-like defeat. There's no sugar-coating it," Viktor Orbán, leader of the Fidesz party, wrote in a post shared across various Digital Civic Circles (DPK) Facebook groups, according to an article on news portal 444.hu.
