Peeping Tom: 'Moeder' Theatre Performance @ Trafo, 19 October
Everything comes to life in the museum of the surrealistic Belgian company: the undead receptionist, the paintings, the sculptures and the floor all creep under your skin.

The company, which we haven’t seen in a while, approaches its well-known subject, the family, in a trilogy form again. Following Vader (Father), and before Kind (Child), which is to be presented in 2019, they perform Moeder (Mother) on the stage of Trafó.

The reviewer of Le Monde called them “terrifyingly talented.” With visuals that burn into the retina and association-based, stunt-like scenes, the production examines the powers of recall, the mosaic of life, the events that take place in the storehouse of memories, which in the end define who we are. And all this while, it confronts fixed roles with surprising physicality.

A theatre performance in English with subtitles in Hungarian.

Tickets: Huf 2,800

Venue:
Trafo House of Contemporary Arts
