The busiest shopping day of the year, Black Friday, generated nearly HUF 78 billion in revenues, which is 20% more compared to the same period of the previous year, the research showed.
The entire Christmas shopping period achieved revenues of HUF 323 bln both online and offline. The number of Black Friday buyers rose to 2 million, up from 1.7 million in 2018. However, there are still areas where the customer experience can be boosted, such as pricing and delivery, eNET noted.
According to the research, internet users have mixed and contradictory feelings about Black Friday. Some 56% of online buyers said they found Black Friday prices misleading. At the same time, only 39% think Black Friday is a good way to buy at good prices. Nearly 45% of internet users find the fuss around Black Friday annoying, eNET said.
