Home Price Increases Near 11% In Budapest
The average price of existing homes was up 10.7% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2018, while new home prices were an average of 4.3% higher than one year earlier, the Central Statistics Office just announced.

In general, people moved out from the city’s Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth and Ninth Districts, while there was inflow into the 16th, 17th and 18th Districts.

There was a substantial price rise in the outer Pest districts, raising home prices there to above levels in the city’s western suburbs.

The average size of new homes built in Budapest is 57m2 which is significantly smaller than the 85m2 in the suburbs.
