Magyar Idők To Become Magyar Nemzet
The daily Magyar Idők will be published under the name Magyar Nemzet from February 6, Magyar Idők wrote in a terse statement in its Saturday edition.

The publisher said the change will not affect the newspaper’s editorial policy or content and that Magyar Idők Kiadó continues to be the publisher.

The first issue of Magyar Idők was published in September 2015 after publisher Gábor Liszkay transformed financial daily Napi Gazdaság.

Liszkay was the editor of Magyar Nemzet until its owner Lajos Simicska publicly denounced Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on February 6, 2015.

Liszkay sold his holding in the paper to Simicska and remained loyal to Orbán.

He now heads the pro-government foundation that controls 476 media outlets.
