The opposition Tisza Party aims to achieve "not only a regime change but a new Compromise", party leader Peter Magyar said in a statement sent to MTI on Sunday.
The leader of the Tisza party said on Tuesday that Hungary's government "has revealed itself" in the European Parliament and made it clear that utility prices in Hungary were on a par with European ones, "and there are no real utility price caps in place".
Public Prosecutor Peter Polt has turned to the President of the European Parliament, requesting lifting the immunity of MEP Peter Magyar, the leader of the opposition Tisza party, based on evidence that has surfaced against him in an investigation on suspicion of theft, the Public Prosecutor's Office said in a statement.
The decision in Kyiv to stop Lukoil shipments to Hungary and Slovakia was likely coordinated in Brussels as “they cannot stand it that Hungary has not backed down under pressure”, Péter Szijjártó, the foreign minister, said.
