EU Finances Free Wi-Fi For 63 Villages, Towns In Hungary
The European Commission announced on Thursday the 3,400 winners of a tender for establishing free Wi-Fi services at public spaces in European communities.

Among the winners are 63 Hungarian villages, towns and Budapest districts, which will receive €15,000 each from the WiFi4EU programme.

The communities must order the establishment of the Wi-Fi services, and must operate them for at least three years without any advertisements.

The European Commission will announce two more similar tenders by the end of 2020.
