Fidesz MP Demands Banning Of Budapest Pride
Deputy Fidesz caucus leader István Boldog took the opportunity to call for a ban on the annual Pride parade during general debate on media legislation in Parliament on Thursday.

Declaring that “children should be protected from sexual and other aberrations,” he asked MPs to “do everything in their power so that the next Pride march cannot be a public event”.

“What everyone does between four walls is up to them,” Boldog said, “their argument is not with me, but nature. But if you worry for your children then would you be so kind as to ensure that our kids will not see half-naked people on the streets?

Because if anything results in bad things, brings bad thoughts to children, then I think it is this.”

This year’s Pride parade takes place on July 6.
