Hungarian Government To Set Up Artificial Intelligence Research Centre, Data Agency
The government will set up a research centre and data agency as part of its artificial intelligence action plan, the innovation and technology minister told a press conference in Balatonfüred.

At the briefing, held on the sidelines of the Infoter conference, Palkovics said that Hungary’s artificial intelligence strategy, expected to be completed by early next year, will provide new foundations for the country’s competitiveness.

Concerning the action plan, Palkovics said it was aimed at raising consciousness of the importance of AI, as well as at creating the necessary institutions such as a centre of excellence to serve as a research facility in 2020.

Palkovics noted the importance of promoting AI as a means to improve life without eliminating jobs.
