Fidesz MP’s Illegal Budapest Hotel Fined
Fidesz MP’s illegal hotel fined Sixth District apartment hotel owned by Fidesz MP Zsolt Becsó has been run illegally for years, website 24 reports.

The illegal activity was unknown to the district notary until December because the company operating the hotel did not apply for a commercial permit as required. A 50% stake in that company, Ublot Kft., is owned by Becsó.

The trade authority imposed a fine on the hotel which, according to 24, could be in the hundreds of thousands of forints. Becsó has said he took no part in the running of the company.

The Sixth District local council ordered the hotel closed on Friday.
