WAMP Christmas Design Market @ Millenáris, 22 December
The favourite design fair of Budapest will be held three times in December at 15 and 22 and will await everyone with high-quality presents from small-scale fashion collections and accessories to creative toys, unique prints and home decoration.

At each occasion there will be more than 200 designers so you will surely find your ideal Christmas presents to your loved-ones. WAMP gives you a lot more personal shopping experience as you can buy directly from the designers as well as you can create your presents yourself at one of the many workshops.

At 15 December there will be another workshop organised by Ferenczy Múzeumi Centrum from Szentendre, where you can create together with well-known Hungarian artists.

Kids and adults as well can learn about creativity, artistic thinking and the process of creation in a playful manner, and the outcomes of the workshop will be perfect presents to your loved-ones or as decoration for your own home.

Those arriving with their kids will surely love the kid’s corner organised by Pagony, one of the most popular Hungarian children’s book publisher and bookshop. You will find plenty of children books, games and colouring books which you can also buy at the fair.

Pagony mostly presents the work of contemporary Hungarian writers and illustrators, but also publishes books of international artists, and sell cute toys and games that develop the skills of the young ones. They will wait visitors at all three Christmas dates with a wide array of their products.

WAMP not only supports local designers but also gives a platform for non-profit organisations and educational projects serving a good aim. Among the exhibitors you will find the trust Nem Adom Fel Alapítvány (Don’t Give Up Trust) that supports disadvantaged people – disabled and elderly people or socially underprivileged groups.

At 15 December WWF Hungary, one of the main actors of environmental protection will also join WAMP. The organisation raises attention to the conservation of local natural resources, sustainable lifestyle renewable energy use and the improvement of corporate social responsibility. This Christmas together with WAMP they will promote cellulose free packaging and environmental friendly presents.

At 15 December WAMP will also present the student companies of the schools Alternatív Közgazdasási Gimnázium (AKG) (Alternative Economic Secondary School) and Közgazdasági Politechnikum (Economic Polytechnic Secondary School). During the one-year long school project the students found their companies and develop a product or a service through which they acquire the necessary entrepreneur skills in practice. This time you can also buy their products at WAMP.

On 22nd December the designer of VISU.visualplayground will held a workshop in slow philosophy, where you can learn the technique of pattern and stamp making.

You can create your own stamp and a unique present and you can also make Christmas packaging for the presents you buy from the designers of WAMP. Stamps, patterns and all the materials will be available at the workshop. For this workshop you have to register beforehand, all information is available here.

At each fair local gastro producers will take care of all the foods and drinks. Beyond take away farmers’ products you can try the tasty meals and drinks served by Waffel Land, Las Vegan’s, Lepényes and Főzdebusz and can get hold of fresh coffee by Bloom Coffee and Furgon Espresso Anywhere.
