’Bauhaus100’ Exhibition @ Ludwig Museum Budapest Until 25 August
Seen until 25 August. Just a hundred years ago, in 1919, Walter Gropius founded the Weimar Bauhaus, the most important source and milestone of contemporary art, an art workshop and school.

Its theory and practice inspired a number of subsequent art movements and approaches, and its original program offered even more: the aesthetic reform of life from everyday life to art.

This selection is a kind of attempt to look back: rethink and recall this unique modernist utopia from a contemporary perspective.

On display until 14 January 2024. Caring is a common experience for all of us, and it shapes our lives from the moment of birth until death. It can be interpreted on the personal level (self-care) or projected onto relationships between people (maternal or parental care, elderly care), but can also be extended to caring for nonhumans and, in a broader sense, for the Earth itself.

Idly looking around online for things of a cultural bent to do in the capital, I landed on the Müpa Budapest website and was struck by how many of the events were sold out, particularly as we’re talking pretty high culture.
