Kolorádó Festival, Nagykovácsi, 19–22 June
For the fourth time, the mellow hip world of 'Kolorádó feszt' comes to life on the outskirts of Budapest this June, providing five days of live music and open-air entertainment.

Visitors can discover secret paths between hidden venues in the forest of Nagykovácsi, to wander between genre-bending musical, arts, and community events.

Organisers invite guests to, '"lose your head to the acclaimed and the experimental concerts from locals and foreigners. Roar with the magic deer and dance until morning in the Csűr".

The lineup is massive, as they say, featuring Kurt Vile & The Violators and Yves Tumor from the US, plus the UK’s Ben Ufo, Call Super and Broken English Club.

Also on the bill is Deena Abdelwahed from Tunisia, Umwelt from France, and Cocaine Piss from Belgium - the video directly below offers you a sampe of those, the film at the foot of this article covers the Hungarian bands performing.

Reaching Kolorádó is 'Easy like a Sunday morning', say organisers: "Less than half an hour from Széll Kálmán tér by bus. You can get there with our Kolorádó bus, BKV, bike, taxi, car or even by walking.

This year a lot of attention is being put on the Kolorádó buses, so during peak time you can catch one every 5-10 minutes, or after the peak time every 15 minutes at the Kolorádó Bus stops."
