More Than 1,100 Hungarian Soldiers Hit By Coronavirus
More than 1,100 soldiers have contracted the coronavirus, but 900 of them have recovered, Defence Minister Tibor Benkő told A Spirit FM on Wednesday.

A soldier stationed in Kosovo had to be flown home after he contracted the coronavirus and his health deteriorated.

He is receiving medical attention at the Honvéd hospital and his condition is stable, Benkő added.

He said extremely stringent precautions have been introduced for the soldiers of the Hungarian Armed Forces.

He also said that 1,100 soldiers are on hand in hospitals every day to help combat the epidemic. If hospitals need even more assistance, more soldiers can be provided, Benkő said.
