The annual Siófok Fish Festival, which this year takes place between October 10 - 12 on the shores of Lake Balaton, will feature dance performances, music concerts and family programs, as well as special culinary experiences.
The 12th Chimney Cake Festival will be held at the Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden, offering expats a sweet attraction filled with local tradition, live music and a variety of tastes to try. Known in Hungarian as Kürtőskalács, the beloved Chimney Cake is a local favourite made from spiral dough baked over charcoal, coated in sugar, and often rolled in toppings like cinnamon, walnut, and coconut.
After nearly a decade’s absence, the prestigious French Gault&Millau restaurant guide has returned to Hungary with a spectacular awards ceremony. At Monday’s gala, held at the newly opened Time Out Market Budapest, several Hungarian restaurants and chefs were honoured.
The coming of the autumn signals the beginning of the National Restaurant Week, this year in its 28th edition. The event welcomes quality food enthusiasts with 3-course menus from HUF 6,900 between 2 - 19 October.
