Electronic Quarantine Checks To Be Introduced In Hungary

The system has proven effective in other countries and will soon be introduced in Hungary as well, Róbert Kiss told an online press conference.
On another subject, he said that since Monday, transit routes across the country had been open to freight trucks between 8pm to noon the following day. Meanwhile, Kiss said the authorities have so far launched 83 legal proceedings on suspicion of spreading rumours in connection with the epidemic.
A total of 98 proceedings have been filed on suspicion of fraud, 26 of endangering the public and 19 of violating epidemiology rules, he added.
On Monday, a further 12 people, all of whom had underlying illnesses, died in Hungary, bringing the total number of fatalities to 363, while the number of registered coronavirus infections increased by 30 to 3,065, koronavirus.gov.hu said. Fully 709 patients have recovered.
Currently 964 coronavirus patients are hospitalised, 50 of whom are on ventilators.
Fully 10,459 people are under official home quarantine. The number of tests carried out stands at 83,958.
