Coronavirus: Recovered Patients Outweighs Current Active Infections In Hungary
Significantly more people have recovered from the novel coronavirus in Hungary than there are active infections, Chief Medical Officer Cecília Müller said, noting that this has been the case for the past few days.

Since the start of the epidemic, a total of 3,793 people have tested positive, 1,856 of whom have recovered, while the number of active infections stands at 1,432, she said.

A total of 505 people have died as a result of the virus, she said.

The greatest challenge is to free closed communities of the virus, she said. In the second phase, screenings will continue in elderly care homes and social institutions, she said.

The number of institutions affected by the novel coronavirus has not increased, she said.

A total of 5,991 people are residents of the 33 institutions with 2,301 staff.

A total of 886 residents and 141 staff members have tested positive, 115 people have died and 371 have recovered, she said.
