On the 19th March the European Commission has adopted a temporary framework according to which member states have the opportunity to introduce state aid programs to support companies which are adversely affected by the current coronavirus pandemic.

Accordingly, on the 20th April, following a successful notification process, Hungary has launched a program to improve competitiveness of companies.

According to the program, investments can be supported up to EUR 800,000 and for companies which decide to start these new investments, the maximum aid intensity is 50%.
