Hungary To Start Giving Free Textbooks To All State School Students
All students of Hungary’s primary and secondary schools will be provided textbooks free of charge from the next academic year on.

Bence Rétvári, state secretary at the human resources ministry added that the textbooks for 1.2 million students will cost the central budget an annual 13.5 billion forints (EUR 38.2m).

He noted that parents have so far paid 20,000-30,000 forints for school books per child.
