Budapest Hotels To Close Again
Budapest hotels must close again, due to the government-imposed travel restrictions, as they live off foreign tourists who are now unable to enter the city, head of the Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association Tamás Flesh told Inforádió on Wednesday.

The situation experienced in April has returned, he said.

The exposure of the hotels to foreign tourists in the capital is 90%. In Budapest, domestic tourism cannot compensate for the loss of foreigners.

Without government help, hotels will have to shut, Flesh underlined.

July and August were strong months; hotels outside of the city made profits but Budapest facilities barely broke even.
